German manufacturer Adelta is responsible for some simply outstanding modern furniture and has a long standing history with Finish designer Eero Aarnio. In 2002 Adelta revealed Aarnio's Parabel dining tables at the International Furniture Fair in Cologne Germany in his favorite material, fiber glass, as only this material allows such a free and expressive design like a sculpture. According to Aarnio “there are only few such long lasting and easy to care materials to meet the needs of a table surface. When designing new items like the Parabel Table, in my case, there is a lot of inspiration and very much craftsmanship and technical knowledge.” Aarnio prefers the Parabel table to be sold only in white as it especially marks out the sculptural elements.
